What these two Sundays are designed to give you

  • Follow a clear sequence
Simplify the reference, sketch the large shapes, establish perspective, blend the atmosphere, place the lights, add reflections, strengthen the foreground, and finish with rain.
  • Build working acrylic confidence
Practise wet-into-wet blends, warm and cool colour, soft and hard edges, bokeh lights, and broken reflections inside one painting.
  • Complete one full artwork
Move from the initial sketch to a finished rainy-city scene with depth, light, texture, and rain.
  • Revisit and continue
Use three months of replays and individual feedback on the workshop artwork to keep the method clear.

By the end, you can expect to...

  • Simplify a photographic reference into larger, paintable shapes.
  • Plan foreground, middle ground, background, road direction, and scale with practical perspective.
  • Handle acrylic blends, bokeh lights, wet-road reflections, and edge changes with more clarity.
  • Finish one atmospheric monsoon painting and recognise the sequence behind it.

One finished painting, and a clearer way into the next.
