It is an excellent course. I took the 21 day challenge. If u r interested in learning this course teaches u with step by step instructions. U can make sketches u thought were impossible to draw. The instructor was patient, and knowledgeable; answered all our questions. Except for the fact that it was sometimes difficult to keep up with her pace it was a great opportunity to find ones strengths and improve weaknesses plus we had practice lessons and could review the classes as often as we wanted
It’s a good class for the following reasons -
1. keeps you consistent, and you do the class everyday. The pace is great to follow along.
2. You understand the basics of sketching - still life, proportions, perspective, human figures - with proper theory.
3. On the painting aspect, the most important and critical thing is color theory, which has been crucial to gain confidence and paint independently
Overall, take what you can from it, but it’s good because the online lessons are available for a while after, so you can also do them at your pace.

I recently took the 14-day Watercolor Journaling Challenge with Nikita and Alekhyam Art Academy, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable and enriching creative experiences I’ve had in a long time.
The course was beautifully structured — well-paced, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed for anyone wanting to build a consistent watercolor habit. What truly stood out for me was the regular, constructive feedback that helped me grow with every passing day.
I’ve dabbled in watercolors before, but I’ve never been able to come this far or feel this confident using the medium. There was always a fear of getting it “wrong” — but this course really helped me move past that. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to grow creatively in a warm, encouraging environment! They have a variety of recorded sessions on their website along with live sessions.
It's a well structured and taught course. But the experience is not of a live course at all. You don't see any fellow participants. You don't even get to see the one conducting the course. There is a camera focussing on the demo and that's all. It is actually like watching a pre recorded video except that if you ask any questions in the chat, you get immediate responses in the chat. I am rating it low because for me the aspect that it's going to be live was most important. I wanted to do it with a group of people and not alone. But I had to do it alone only and that was not fun. I left it midway. So for me I felt a fairly disappointment and also cheated because all my expectations of a live experience were not fulfilled. I did not want to watch a video and learn alone which is what essentially happened. So join this if you are ok with a 'recorded course ' kinda experience.

Step by step you can learn every aspect of sketching, watercolour techniques and all about art materials.

The 14-day watercolor challenge by Alekhyam Arts was one of my life's most immersive and creatively enriching experiences. At the end of a long working day (during the 14 days), I used to wait in front of my computer screen to practice mindful art and get lost in the magic of watercolors. Nikita is an amazing art teacher-cum-facilitator, and I have never come across anyone who masters the art of 'virtual art training' as well as she does. Full of patience and with great tonal and visual clarity, she wove magic on screen and made each day of artwork look seamless and every bit worth it. The end: some beautiful compositions by each one of us, simple watercolor tips, and a lot of positive words to help us continue on this journey that we are on! I am definitely continuing and look forward to more such courses from Alekhyam!

Though I feel that this course needs a precursor on basics of sketching, I was able to cope because I'm ok with my pencil work.
A beginner may not find it that easy and probably be intimidated even.

The 21 day sketching challenge was one of the best workshops I’ve attended. So well designed, organized and taught. Nikita’s understanding of the fundamentals of sketching really helps even a beginner grasp/attempt difficult sketches with ease. The flow of the program was great. The community and feedback system also was good and detailed. It was a thorough enjoyable high value for money experience. Cannot recommend these workshops & courses enough.
